Sometimes it’s tough finding a good set of earphones. In the past I’ve reviewed headphones from Throne that were pretty good. But when it comes to earphones and earbuds, I’m pretty picky. I’ve been using my Bose earbuds for a few years now (and they still work great). I really liked them because of the quality sound they produce, and they feel really comfortable in my ears. Which is always a good thing.
But back to the a-Jays earphones. I’ve been using them for about a week now, listening to Google Music, Pandora, etc on my Nexus 4 and Nexus 7. They sound pretty good, but they aren’t all that comfortable in your ears – at least at first. Once you have them in your ears for a while you start to get used to them, at least for me. These also come with 3 other tips that will fit your ears better. It’s important that you try them out, because if you stick with a smaller tip, they’ll fall out of your ears more often.
Jays also has an app that you can use to customize what the controls on your headset can do. There is a button located on the reverse side from the microphone. Which can be used to start/stop music, skip to the next track, go to the previous track, and with phone calls it can answer, ignore, mute, and end calls. It’s a rather simple app but still something you’ll want to check out.
Overall the a-Jays One+ earphones are pretty good earphones. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone out there looking for a replacement set of earphones for their phone. They are available at Gearzap for £34.95 or ~$54USD. Gearzap is located in the UK, but they do deliver internationally using DHL. You can check out their site to see if they’ll deliver to your country. You can also check out the a-Jays One+ earphones on their site, along with other accessories for your Nexus 7.
